The 21 Series: Trump Travesty/ Family Separation and the Wall

(2/08/2019 emailed 21 Republican Senators up for re-election in 2020)

Rep. Schakowsky at hearing on family separations:

- “Can anybody here on this panel challenge this: The US does not know how many children have been separated from their parents? … No one.” “Does anyone know how many are still separated from their parents? … Nobody knows.”

Rep. Guthrie at hearing on family separations:

- “Would you have advised DOJ/DHS to implement “zero tolerance” policy?” Cmdr. White, who leads HHS efforts to reunite migrant children with parents: “Neither I nor any career person in (Office of Refugee Resettlement) would ever have supported such a policy proposal”

Jonathan White, career official HHH testified:

- He warned three Trump appointees about the health risks of separating migrant children from their parents more than a year before the administration announced the controversial policy. He was ignored.

Trump at #NationalPrayerBreakfast:

- “Let us pray for the courage to pursue justice and the wisdom to forge peace. Let us pray for a future where every child has a warm, safe, and loving home.”

I want to vomit with the hypocrisy of Trump and Republicans in the Senate. Be assured if you vote for one penny for this terrible wall, if you vote for another disastrous shutdown, if you support a declaration of emergency, the wild forces for goodness will rise up and sweep you and any other elected official out of office in 2020.
